Below are some of the people representing all you hard-working South African taxpayers:
Maya Fisher-French
Maya Fisher-French is a financial and personal finance journalist. Maya currently writes for the Mail&Guardian for the business and personal finance sections. Over the years Maya has written for various business publications and has received awards for her writing. She has also worked as a correspondent for CNBC Africa. Maya feels very strongly that the views and opinions of taxpayers are not represented in the media and that taxpayers need to become more vocal in how government finances are managed.

Vuyisa Qabaka
Vuyisa is a man with a mission; an entrepreneur who was thrust into the limelight when Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan singled him out in the 2010 Budget speech for one of his “tips for Pravin”. Vuyisa’s belief that the country needs a larger budget for youth development and his initiative to launch an online social platform called Student Enterprises, to support youth job creation and entrepreneurship, won him the recognition.
With a BCom (Financial Accounting) and specialist qualifications in property, Vuyisa is studying entrepreneurship too. His experience covers the property industry, business development and communications. He is a Director of the South African Black Entrepreneurs Forum (SABEF). Not content to watch things happening around him, he sets out to make them happen and to change the world for the better. He is determined to give South African taxpayers a voice and work to improve the efficiency of government expenditure.

Gillian Findlay
Gillian has over 25 years’ experience in the investment and economic fields. She has worked in the mining industry and in stockbroking engaged in investment analysis. In 2006, Gillian formed her own company specialising in marketing and communications strategies for financial services companies. She lectures on a part-time basis for the Wits Business School on Economics, the Environment of Business as well as Financial Markets and Investment Analysis. In addition, Gillian consults on economic matters, specialising in macroeconomic research and analysis, as well as industry-specific research and analysis and trend spotting.
Conrad Sidego
Conrad Sidego is a concerned SA citizen and is committed to seeing past injustices redressed. A former career journalist and South African Ambassador to Denmark, Conrad has also held the position of Senior General Manager (Corporate Affairs) at Media24. Conrad, who obtained a BA degree in Political Science and Communications as well as a Teacher’s Diploma, believes that educated taxpayers and the efficient use of taxpayers’ funds will assist in the upliftment of all South Africans.
Niki Moore
Niki has over 25 years’ experience in journalism, public relations and consultancy, but her passion is empowering ratepayers and residents. Niki has been involved as a consultant for ratepayer and residents associations since 2004 and is a parliamentary researcher in the KZN Legislature. If any TFSA member needs assistance in dealing with local government issues, Niki will be able to assist.
Rael Cline
Rael’s background is in finance and economics. After gaining exposure to the management consulting, private equity and academic worlds, he feels that it’s now time to take an active role in representing South African taxpayers’ interests. He believes that as the tax burden is increasing in South Africa, there is a need for a unified force to voice the opinions and concerns of all taxpayers.

Vivian Atud
Vivian is currently working as a researcher and policy analyst at a think tank in South Africa. She also Lectures in the School of Economics and Business Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand.
